A 22-year-old cattle herder identified as Ibrahim Umaru, has in a new report, revealed how he escaped from prison in Delta State. According to the report by  Newtelegraph , Umaru escaped from prison in 2018 and fled to Zamfara State, where he joined a gang of bandits who specialized in cattle rustling and razing down communities. After embarking on several operations, Umaru was again rearrested after he led members of his gang to rob a filling station in Asaba, Delta State and an AK-47 rifle was recovered from him. A police source said, “Umaru was first arrested in 2014 when policemen on patrol accosted him after he took some cows for grazing. The policemen searched and found a gun on him. He was taken to court, where he was charged for illegal possession of firearm. The Nigerian Air force base in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state, was today in a state of confusion when Mrs Irobuisi, wife of Air Commodore CC Irobuisi who is presently the deputy director of safety defence headquarters Abuja, attempted to murder one of the soldiers in Air force secondary school in the capital city. According to reports, the airman flogged her daughter for an indiscipline act, after which one of the female civilian teacher gave the daughter phone to report to her mum who immediately drove to the school with a cutlass, while discussions were on going. Mrs Irobuisi removed the cutlass she concealed and attempted to kill the airman, fortunately the airman survived the attack. He is presently responding to treatment at NAF reference hospital in Port-Harcourt. It is alleged that Mrs Irobuisi has assaulted airmen and officers severally at different locations. A chopper carrying Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Saturday crash landed in Kabba, Kogi State. This was confirmed in a statement made available to DAILY POST signed by Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity) to the Vice President, Osinbajo’s chopper crashed in Kabba, Kogi State. However, the Vice President and the entire crew have been confirmed safe after the incident that occurred on Saturday afternoon. The statement read: “Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, has arrived Kabba, Kogi State today. His Chopper had crash landed after a landing incident, but everyone is safe. “Prof. Osinbajo now in Kabba, after the incident and continuing his engagements in the State, engaging the people on the Next Level plan of the Buhari administration.”
